The Royals traditionally celebrate Christmas in Sandringham. Princess Beatrice didn’t actually want to come this year. Now she’s traveling and has a good reason for it.
Well then. After rumors emerged that Princess Beatrice, like her sister Princess Eugenie, would spend Christmas with her in-laws and not celebrate with the royals, it is now being reported that the niece of the British King Charles III. but will be staying at the Sandringham estate on Christmas Eve. This was reported by the British news agency PA, citing unnamed insider sources.
It had previously been said that Beatrice, like her sister Princess Eugenie, would spend Christmas with her in-laws. She wanted to travel abroad to do this. But according to the report, doctors recommended that the pregnant woman not go on a long journey. It is not known where the celebration was to take place.
Royal Christmas party with 45 guests
Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi already have a three-year-old daughter. Mapelli Mozzi also has an eight-year-old son from a previous relationship. The couple’s second child is due to be born in the spring.
According to PA, 45 people are expected at the royal Christmas party at the extensive country estate in the eastern English county of Norfolk. In addition to the royal couple, heir to the throne Prince William and his wife Princess Kate and their children are also expected.
Prince Andrew is not allowed to celebrate
However, Beatrice and Eugenie’s father, Prince Andrew, will not be there. The reason for this is probably that he recently found himself in negative headlines again because of his closeness to a suspected Chinese spy. Because of his involvement in the abuse scandal involving US multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who died in 2019, Andrew has had to largely withdraw from public life.
The Royal Family always goes to church in Sandringham on Christmas Day. Unlike most British families, the royals give presents on Christmas Eve – a tradition they owe to their German ancestors.
