The Royal Family can look forward to a new addition at their Christmas party in Sandringham: Princess Beatrice is expected to join in the celebration.
Princess Beatrice (36) is said to have changed her Christmas plans at short notice due to her pregnancy – and is now attending the royal family meeting in Sandringham. It was originally said that the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew (64) and Sarah Ferguson (65) would travel to Italy to visit her in-laws.
The British news agency PA was the first to report on it at the weekend. A source confirmed that the Princess and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (41) will not travel on the advice of doctors and will instead celebrate with the Royal Family. However, the pregnant woman will probably not take part in the traditional walk to church.
Sandringham has been the Royal Family’s Christmas destination for many years. Beatrice’s daughter Sienna Elizabeth (3) and her stepson Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf (8) are said to be according to “Hello!” also take part in the celebrations. In October it was announced that King Charles’ niece was expecting another baby. Buckingham Palace’s statement at the time said: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce that they are expecting their second child together in the spring; a sibling for eight-year-old Wolfie and three-year-old Sienna .” The couple has been married since 2020.
Beatrice will probably celebrate without her parents and sister
While most of the royal family will spend the holidays together at Sandringham, Princess Beatrice’s parents will likely be missing. The reason is Andrew’s scandal involving a suspected Chinese spy. King Charles’ brother is said to be “honourably” withdrawing from the royal family’s Christmas events so as not to draw attention away from the celebrations. It is believed that the 64-year-old will instead stay in the Royal Lodge with his ex-wife “Fergie”.
According to British media reports, her younger daughter Princess Eugenie (34) will also not be present at Sandringham. She will celebrate with her in-laws.
