Tom Hanks made a funny appearance with many celebrity colleagues on US television. However, one detail unsettles his fans.
The popular US show “Saturday Night Live” was once again packed with many celebrity guests over the weekend. For example, Melissa McCarthy (54), Paul Rudd (55), Emma Stone (36), Scarlett Johansson (40) and Alec Baldwin (66) took part in the Christmas edition. Tom Hanks (68) also took a seat in the studio. However, his appearance raised concerns among fans.
The celebrities came to welcome their colleague Martin Short (74) into the legendary “Saturday Night Live” Five Timers Club. This term refers to the stars who have hosted the show at least five times. On social media, several viewers commented that Tom Hanks’ hands were shaking during his performance. This is not the first time that the Hollywood star has caused concern among fans. As early as 2022, he was noticed with shaking hands at the “Elvis” premiere in Australia.
Tom Hanks is affected by diabetes
It is known that Tom Hanks suffers from type 2 diabetes. He made the diagnosis public in 2013 on the “Late Show with David Letterman.” At the time, he told the TV audience: “I went to the doctor and he said, ‘You know those high blood sugar levels you’ve been struggling with since you were 36? Well, you’ve graduated! You’ve got type 2. Diabetes, young man.'” In a later interview with “Radio Times,” Tom Hanks also emphasized that he had not practiced enough self-care for many years: “I’m part of the lazy American generation that danced blindly through the party and now has an illness is confronted.” He weighed way too much. “I was heavy. You’ve seen me in movies, you know what I looked like. I was a total idiot,” the actor continued.
