Before she teaches fear in the horror-mystery series “Hameln”, Veronica Ferres strikes a relaxed tone in the Christmas interview.
Veronica Ferres (59) can be seen in the six-part horror-mystery series “Hameln” (ZDFneo and Mediathek) from December 30th. But before the fans immerse themselves in the eerie story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, who returns after 800 years with the 130 children kidnapped in the Middle Ages, there is still a “relaxed” Christmas “with the whole family,” as the acting star said in an interview spot on news revealed.
The Christmas tree and the Christmas mishap
“Decorating the tree together, cooking and going to church” are a must-have tradition. “We do that every year.” The best thing about Christmas for Ferres is: “Good food and the smell of a Christmas tree – I love that very much,” she says.
Speaking of the Christmas tree: “I once forgot the holder for the Christmas candles and couldn’t attach the candles to the tree,” she says with a laugh about her biggest Christmas mishap.
Christmas dinner and presents – no stress!
Christmas dinner and presents – what causes stress for many people in the run-up to Christmas sounds rather relaxed for the Ferres-Maschmeyer patchwork family. “There’s actually always goose with dumplings and red cabbage,” says the wife (since 2014) of “Lion’s Den” star Carsten Maschmeyer (65), mother of actress Lilly Krug (23) and “bonus mom” of Maschmeyer’s sons .
And when it comes to gifts, she “usually has good timing,” says Veronica Ferres. In this way she can “enjoy the Advent season too”. In general, gifts are “not the most important thing for them anyway. I only ever give away small things,” she says. “For us, time together is much more important,” adds the busy actress. If she had one Christmas wish, it wouldn’t be anything material, but “peace in the world.”
Sporty resolution for 2025
Veronica Ferres has planned a sporting comeback for the coming year. In addition to more me-time, she wants to “start riding privately again.” She is also looking forward to “getting to know lots of creative people in front of and behind the camera” in the coming year.
