After Blake Lively’s lawsuit: ‘One for 4’ co-stars stand by her

Blake Lively, 37, filed a lawsuit in California on Friday (December 20) accusing “Just One More Time” co-star Justin Baldoni, 40, his production company Wayfarer Studios and others in the filming of ” Just One More Time” (original title “It Ends with Us”) accused those involved of sexual harassment and a “coordinated effort to destroy their reputation”. Baldoni’s lawyers then emphasized that the allegations were “categorically false.” Lively has now received public support from her co-stars in the 2005 comedy The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

In a joint statement, Alexis Bledel, 43, Amber Tamblyn, 41, and America Ferrera, 40, wrote: “As Blake’s friends and sisters for over 20 years, we stand with her in solidarity as she resists the campaign to destroy her reputation that is being reported on.” They added: “During the filming of ‘It Ends with Us,’ we saw her have the courage to demand job security for herself and her colleagues on set, and we are appalled by the evidence of a deliberate and vengeful act campaign that followed to discredit their voice.”

In court documents obtained by US gossip portal TMZ, the actress states that Baldoni’s alleged misconduct caused her “severe emotional distress.” Accordingly, there was a meeting to discuss Lively’s allegations and her demands for working together on the film.

According to TMZ, the documents state that Sony Pictures, the company that distributed the film, approved Lively’s demands for the set. However, Lively claims in the lawsuit that Baldoni then took part in a campaign of “social manipulation” to “destroy” her reputation.

The actress stated, “I hope my lawsuit will help lift the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics that harm people who speak out about wrongdoing, and protect others who may be targeted.”

Bledel, Tamblyn and Ferrera further stated in their message: “We are shocked by the fact that a woman, even one as strong, as celebrated and as full of resources as our friend Blake, can face severe retaliation if She dares to ask for a safe work environment. We are inspired by our sister’s courage to stand up for herself and others.”

Author Colleen Hoover (45), whose novel the film “Just One More Time” is based on, also showed her support for Lively via social media. In an Instagram Story over the weekend, she wrote: “@Blake Lively, you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the person you are . Never change. Never fade away.”

She also shared the post from Lively’s co-stars on the platform and said: “This statement from these women and Blake’s ability to not sit down and ‘get buried’ is simply inspiring. To see how these three women stand for their friend Standing up even though they know there will be people who will tear them apart is inspiring.” She is no longer afraid to post something because it could damage her reputation. “I don’t care about my future legacy. I never have. I care about the people who are currently in my life, who I love and know and trust.”
