How do the stars celebrate Christmas? The news agency spot on news asked the celebrities about their plans.
Celebrities also enjoy spending the contemplative Christmas season with their loved ones. For many, the celebration of love means a break from hectic everyday life and an opportunity to share precious moments with the family. The news agency spot on news asked the stars about their Christmas plans.
Model Barbara Meier (38) celebrates traditionally with her husband and two daughters. “This year we can go to church again, our oldest is now four. I missed that when she was too little because it’s just part of it for me,” says the former “Germany’s Next Top Model” winner happily. “Eating together and presents for the children are of course also important.”
International Christmas with the “The Lion’s Den” stars
Entrepreneur Carsten Maschmeyer (65) uses the Christmas season for a real family rally. As “Grandpa,” as his grandchildren call him, he travels from northern Germany to Los Angeles to celebrate with his children and grandchildren. “It’s a special gift when the whole family across three generations comes together,” enthuses the husband of actress Veronica Ferres (59). “I can never spend as much undisturbed time with my granddaughters and my family as I do at Christmas time.”
Things get particularly international with his “The Lions’ Den” colleague Judith Williams (53) and her husband Alexander-Klaus Stecher (56). The couple combines American, German and Italian traditions. “We have Christ Child coming on the 24th, and of course Santa Clause’s stockings are waiting on the 25th,” says Williams. The traditional turkey should not be missing – even if her husband, who is now almost a vegetarian, only enjoys the stuffing.
The main thing is family
The Geiss family has created their very own Christmas paradise in the French Alps. “We have a house especially for Christmas,” reveals Robert Geiss (60) proudly. The entire family gathers there under the festively decorated Christmas tree.
Hanna Weig (28) lives a particularly modern family model. Despite the separation, she celebrates Christmas Eve together with her ex-partner Jörn Schlönvoigt (38) and their daughter Delia. “We are super good friends and we just want to give our daughter that, that she has the family together,” she explains.
Actor and singer Oli P. (46) celebrates “as always with the family-in-law in the Erzgebirge”, actor Mark Keller (59) with the family on Lake Constance. Riccardo Simonetti (31), who has been married for a few months, is spending the holidays with his husband in his home country of Bavaria. “My grandmother can’t travel very well anymore, so we always go to Bad Reichenhall at Christmas time.”
“Beautifully relaxed and cozy”
Ruth Moschner (48), on the other hand, enjoys celebrating alone, cleaning up and reflecting on the year. “But it’s also wonderful when friends come to visit. My goddaughter, her friend and her mother have already announced their arrival, maybe another friend will join us. I’ll cook something vegetarian and we’ll have a game night. Nice and relaxed and cozy, come along a lot of laughter, food – and of course the ‘children’ also get presents,” reveals the presenter.
Vanessa Mai (32) makes a romantic Christmas dream come true: she goes to the mountains with her husband and dog for the first time over the holidays. “I’m so looking forward to a ‘Wham Christmas’ like in ‘Last Christmas’,” enthuses the singer.
The former “Tagesschau” spokeswoman Judith Rakers (48) remains true to her traditions: “Fondue with the family under the Christmas tree, which is now decorated by the cats” – this is what her perfect Christmas looks like.
