Kieran Culkin insulted as a child by commercial director
The first film shoot of his life was not a pleasant experience for Kieran Culkin. The actor recalls how he was insulted by the director.
Actor Kieran Culkin remembers a terrible commercial shoot as a six-year-old. The 42-year-old (“Home Alone”, “Succession”) told the podcast “SmartLess” about how he was insulted by the director at the time. The commercial was about “learning disabilities” and was Culkin’s first film.
He was supposed to play a child who fails a task on the board. “The kids in the class were supposed to call me ‘stupid,'” Culkin said. But after the director’s “action” call, he himself began insulting the young actor with “stupid” and “idiot.” Even back then, Culkin didn’t understand that and wondered what was wrong with the director.
