A brief trailer for Season 6, Part 3 teases “four decades of history leading up to this moment” as “Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai must deal with their past while facing an uncertain future both on and off the mat.”


The ending of “Cobra Kai” is based on four decades since the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament in the “Karate Kid” original, in which Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) faced Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and achieved victory.

What Cobra Kai is about
Told from Johnny’s perspective, “Cobra Kai” examines his relationship with Daniel years after “The Karate Kid,” when they both run rival dojos. The cast also includes Martin Kove, Thomas Ian Griffith, Xolo Maridueña, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser and Tanner Buchanan. They complete the cast Peyton List, Gianni Decenzo, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio, Dallas Dupree Young, Yuji Okumoto, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin Santopietro, Oona O’Brien, Rayna Vallandingham, Patrick Luwis and Lewis Tan.

“Cobra Kai” is written and produced by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg through their Counterbalance Entertainment label. Will Smith, James Lassiter and Caleeb Pinkett are executive producers for Westbrook Studios along with Susan Ekins in association with Sony Pictures Television. Macchio and Zabka also serve as executive producers.
