Dubai chocolate has become popular through Tiktok and Instagram. It is filled with pistachio cream and so-called angel hair (thin strands of dough). At first, chocolate was considered very expensive. Discounters now also offer such products.
Other celebrities have also jumped on the hype. Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU), who likes to post his food on social networks, wrote on Instagram about a bite of Dubai chocolate in November: “Very sweet! Doesn’t have to be every day. #söder prefers something hearty.”
