The history of the circular economy
Although the circular economy does not date from a specific year, it was popularized in the late 70’s. It was academics, companies and other opinion leaders who adopted this system in modern economic models, from which different philosophical currents were born.
A clear example of this is Cradle to Cradle (from cradle to cradle), a concept created by the German chemist Michael Braungart and the American architect Bill McDonough.
