The Argentine nationalized Bolivian coach has a contract with Vélez until December 31 of this year, after signing for one year after arriving at the end of 2023.
Vélez coach Gustavo Quinteros could stop directing “Fortín” to take command of Gremio de Brasil in 2025. The coach won the Liniers team champion of the League Cup. In addition, they have just lost in the final of the Argentine Cup, against Central Córdoba, and of the Champions Trophy, against Estudiantes de La Plata.
Everything would seem to indicate that Quinteros would have everything agreed with the Brazilian club to leave the country to take charge of the “Maior do Sul”. Zero Hora reported that the news would be made official after Christmas.

This caused problems for the team, since the captain of the Liniers team, Valentín Gómez, expressed his discontent after losing by a landslide against those led by Eduardo Domínguez: “Although he is the leader and it would be nice if he were always there, there are things more important than football, it is a reality. I understand it, but we also all leave things aside.”
Finally, from the Brazilian media they report that Quinteros would take command of the “Maior do Sul” on January 8.
From Vélez there would seem to be surprise at the coach’s decision, since its president Fabián Berlanga had assured, a few days ago, that he was reaching an agreement with the coach for him to continue at the “Fortín”.
