Dengue: a new stage of vaccination began in CABA

The Ministry of Health has already opened shifts on its website for a new young group. Likewise, those who have completed 90 days since the first application may request their appointment for the second dose.

The vaccination plan against dengue in the City of Buenos Aires continues to be developed progressively and in stages, in line with the recommendation of the National Immunization Commission (CONAIN), and the national guidelines established by the Ministry of Health of the Nation. The age group destined for this new stage is young people from 25 to 29 years oldwhose availability to request an appointment applies from this Monday.

Furthermore, also Appointments will be made available for people able to receive the second dose to complete their vaccination schedule.; 90 days must elapse between the application of the first and second doses.

Likewise, vaccination will continue for the rest of the population groups. In this sense, adolescents from 15 to 19 years old and young people from 20 to 24 years old will be able to continue requesting appointments. According to the availability of vaccines, we will continue to progress by age groups.

Requirements for vaccination

In addition to being part of the age range, to receive the vaccine it is an essential requirement be a resident of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and appear on schedule, which is obtained only through the official website of the City Health Ministry.

On the day of the assigned shift, the person must appear with the DNI that proves residence in the City and the vaccination card. It is not necessary to go with a medical prescription. And in this case, for minors, it is not necessary for them to be accompanied by an adult of legal age.

The vaccination centers to apply the dengue vaccine are distributed in the different neighborhoods of the City. They work in hospitals, CeSACS and out-of-hospital posts:
