From trash to style?: This is how Danni Büchner has changed

Daniela “Danni” Büchner (46) was probably one of the most hated women on reality TV for a long time. She repeatedly caused offense in formats and attracted attention through her rowdy behavior – such as in the summer on “Reality Queens – On High Heels Through the Jungle” (RTL+). But in the last few months she seems to have undergone a change. And not just externally.

The widow of Jens Büchner (1969-2018) had a difficult time in the public eye right from the start. When she appeared as a new woman at the cult emigrant’s side on the VOX show “Goodbye Germany”, many people assumed that she only wanted fame and attention.

Even after Jens Büchner’s tragic death from cancer six years ago, she continued to be viewed critically by haters; there were real hate pages on the Internet that dissected virtually every step and sentence she made. And the mother of five fueled this with her riotous performances, around 2020 in the RTL jungle camp. There she attracted unpleasant attention with her complaining and vanity.

Büchner received a lot of criticism not only for her behavior, but also for her appearance. She has now given herself a comprehensive makeover and presents herself slim, made-up and in stylish looks. Will there now also be a real image change?

In 2024 she has definitely set the course for this. Because after her freakout at the reunion of the “Reality Queens” alongside her daughter Joelina Karabas (25), she unexpectedly hit the summer special “I’m a Star – Showdown of the Jungle Legends,” which was shown on RTL in August calm tones. Although she was thrown out of the show in sixth place, she still drew a positive conclusion in an interview with the news agency spot on news: “I absolutely succeeded in showing a different side. She also scored points in her first documentary soap with less of a row and more as a caring family mother. At the end of September, RTLzwei launched “These Büchners – family hustle and bustle under the palm trees”, which followed everyday life with five children.

It remains to be seen whether the 46-year-old will maintain her new, more stylish image in 2025.
