Thousands of Argentines are preparing to celebrate the new year and, later, start your summer vacation. For those who have decided to visit a destination abroad, the Customs Collection and Control Agency (ARCA) announced the current restrictions for the entry of certain products.

In detail, given the difference in prices in items such as technology and clothing, many travelers take advantage of their vacations to buy these items abroad, so it is relevant to be up to date with the standards established by the national agency. In addition, the entity also set the limit franchises – depending on whether the trip is by air, sea or land -, which range from US$300 to US$500.

All travelers returning to the country from their vacation must go through the Customs controls. In this inspection, the staff verifies that the luggage, its contents and items that are brought into the country.

In detail, the national agency prohibits the entry of the following products:

  • Weapons and explosives (except with prior authorization from the National Agency for Controlled Materials, ANMAC).
  • Narcotic substances.
  • Objects of archaeological or cultural value.
  • Merchandise intended for commercial or industrial uses.
