After weeks of headaches, doctors find a blood clot in actress Gal Gadot’s brain. The 39-year-old underwent emergency surgery – in the eighth month of pregnancy, as she now reports.
Gal Gadot underwent emergency surgery eight months pregnant. The Israeli actress (“Wonder Woman,” “Fast & Furious”) had “a massive blood clot in her brain,” she wrote in an Instagram post. She was confined to bed with headaches for weeks until the blood clot was found during an MRI in February 2024.
“My daughter Ori was born in this moment of uncertainty and fear,” said the 39-year-old. According to the actress, her family was confronted with how fragile life can be. “In the midst of a difficult year, I just wanted to persevere and live,” Gadot said.
The name of her fourth daughter Ori – “my light” in Hebrew – was therefore a conscious choice. Before the operation, the 39-year-old told her husband Jaron Varsano that their daughter would be the light at the end of the tunnel. Gadot says she is now healthy again and grateful for her life.
