Jennifer Lopez: Confident annual review on Instagram

Jennifer Lopez (55) is looking very optimistically into the future after a turbulent year. After 2024 was marked by headlines surrounding her separation from husband Ben Affleck (52), the singer and actress has now published a self-confident review of the year on Instagram. There are many beautiful moments from her career and family life – but not a single shot of Affleck.

Lopez himself has his say again and again in the short social media clip, as excerpts from various interviews were also included. The statements seem to relate, among other things, to her emotional life, which she has been struggling with in recent months. Among other things, she can be heard saying: “I’m very proud of how I handled everything. All things.” In the bad moments, she learned to accept her feelings and then let them go.

She is obviously really looking forward to the new year: “I feel that the best is yet to come.” The video ends with the caption: “See you in 2025!” Breakup aside, 2024 was a very successful year for Lopez. She appeared as an actress in the two films “Atlas” and “Unstoppable”, released the new album “This Is Me… Now” and the documentary “The Most Beautiful Love Story Never Told”.

The 55-year-old had already looked back at the beginning of November: “It was a pretty intense year for me.” Looking ahead to the new year, Lopez explained that she wants to expand her creative boundaries. In general, she wants to maintain a sense of balance, but also grow: “I think it’s a lot about a deeper connection to myself and to God.”

Lopez and Affleck met in the early 2000s while filming the film “Love with Risk – Gigli”, but they broke off their engagement in 2004 and separated. After failed marriages on both sides, there was the “Bennifer” love comeback in 2021 with a wedding in 2022. In August 2024, Jennifer Lopez finally filed for divorce after just two years of marriage.
