Hilary Swank shares a rare photo with one of her twins and moving words of loss and gratitude.
Just a few days ago, Hilary Swank (50) spoke about the advantages of late motherhood. At the age of 48 she gave birth to twins. Now the actress has published a rare photo with one of her two children in front of the Christmas tree.
In the private photo, the “Million Dollar Baby” actress poses smiling in front of the opulently decorated fir tree in a red V-neck sweater and beige khaki pants. One of her one-year-old children, wearing a diaper, inspects the tree decorations. In the background you can see a wooden terrace in front of a lake and mountain panorama.
“Happy Holidays everyone,” Swank wishes in the post. “I’m so grateful for this community. I wish everyone a quiet and relaxing time, as best as possible, while we’re all juggling everything,” she strikes in a serious, empathetic tone. “I feel so connected to all the caregivers out there who have so many balls in the air and little time for themselves. And also to everyone who has to cope with loss in any way. Grieving is hard work, especially at this time of year.”
Swank doesn’t reveal whether she recently lost someone herself. In October she remembered her beloved father, who died three years ago.
Started a family at the age of 48
Five years after her wedding to entrepreneur Philip Schneider, with whom she began dating in 2016, Swank became a mother for the first time in 2023. On the talk show “Today with Hoda & Jenna” she recently said about her late childhood happiness: “I feel like I’m 30 because I have 20-month-old babies.” Her twins Aya and Ohm would have changed her life. “Everything is new again. You hear that, but until you experience it yourself, you ask yourself, ‘What does that even mean?’ But now I know.”
“They make every time of the year special,” she gushed about her children. “Every day with them is so divine. It’s such a blessing and I’m so grateful and happy.”
