Aerolíneas Argentinas closes 2024 with a record number of passengers transported

At the end of 2024, between December 27 and January 1, Argentine Airlines will transport more than 250,000 passengersmarking a great start to the season for the national company.

On December 27, the record was recorded for the maximum number of people transported in the year: they exceeded 44,000. The following days – between Saturday and Monday – the average was 40,000 passengers daily.

The ten most chosen destinations for the start of this season were Bariloche, Iguazú, El Calafate, Ushuaia, Córdoba, Mendoza, Río de Janeiro, Salta, Neuquén and Tucumán.

Aerolíneas Argentinas increases the frequency of flights until March

For this summer, the flag airline increased its offer of flights to vacation destinations in the country and in the region.

Inside, from Buenos Aires, there will be more than 70 weekly flights to Bariloche, more than 50 to Mendoza and Ushuaia, 48 to Iguazú, and more than 30 weekly flights to Salta, Tucumán, El Calafate and Mar del Plata, while San Martín de los Andes will have 18 flights each week.

In addition, until March, the offer of night flights to and from Buenos Aires and Bariloche, Iguazú, Salta, Comodoro Rivadavia and Trelew will continue with rates known as Super Promo.

The supply of flights abroad increases during the summer

The frequency of flights will also increase during the summer to travel abroad. There will be 6 weekly frequencies Punta Cana from Buenos Aires and direct flights from Cordova (4 per week), Rosario and Tucumán (one per week each).

Cancun will have 6 weekly frequencieswhile Miami will have two flights dailyall from Buenos Aires.

On the other hand, there will be a high frequency of flights to Brazil. Starting from Buenos Aires, the company will operate 32 weekly flights to Rio de Janeiro, 27 to San Pablo, 14 to Florianópolis, 7 to San Salvador de Bahía, 6 to Curitiba, 5 to Porto Alegre and 2 to Porto Seguro.

From the interior of the country, the offer will also be expanded to Brazil. From Córdoba there will be 4 weekly flights to Rio de Janeiro, 3 to Florianópolis and 1 to San Salvador de Bahía. From Rosario, 4 weekly frequencies to Rio de Janeiro and 3 to Florianópolis. In addition, the weekly frequency between San Pablo and Salta will remain active. The destinations of San Salvador de Bahía and Porto Seguro had not been operated since before the pandemic.

The offer to Punta del Este also stands out, where the company went from 5 frequencies in November to 11 in December and 22 in January.
