In a new interview, Phoebe Dynevor reveals what future role she dreams of and why she loves the 1990s so much.
Phoebe Dynevor (29) obviously likes to be nostalgic: She became famous for the historical series “Bridgerton,” in which she was dressed in the style of the Regency era. Her new film “Famous,” in which she plays the lead role alongside Zac Efron (37), goes back to the 1990s. In keeping with this, she slipped into looks from the iconic decade for “Porter” magazine and gushed backwards about the role in an interview.
“The clothes are so cool”
She can be seen on the cover, which references the 90s era. In an interview, the Brit explains why she likes the decade so much: “I listen to so much music from the 90s, it’s fun. And the clothes are so cool.” As for her cover outfit, she explains: “I’m wearing these low-waisted jeans that are about below my hipbone. Now I understand why everyone had the butterfly, the back tattoo.”
She adds: “I think it’s so important to go back and watch old films, listen to old music and broaden your view of the world.”
Further pictures underline the journey back in time to the 90s: Dynevor also poses in a dark denim two-piece suit, a black patent skirt and a brown leather jacket. She describes herself as a workaholic and emphasizes that she has a particular idea of her preferred roles. “I want to see the women who are my friends, who are my mother, who represent the women in my life.” In terms of genre, she would ideally like to do a romcom because there has been a “drought” in this area recently.
Dynevor rose to fame in December 2020 when she appeared as the lead actress in the first season of “Bridgerton.” The Netflix series became a hit. In the second season she was only seen briefly and in the third she was completely missing. Each season highlights a different “Bridgerton” family member and their love story.
