Could acting continue?

Joachim Llambi can be seen in “Dream Ship” on New Year’s Day. In the interview, he reveals how he enjoyed his foray into acting.

“Let’s Dance” star Joachim Llambi (60) can be seen on “Traumschiff” (ZDF) on New Year’s Day. In the new Caribbean episode “Curaçao” (January 1, 8:15 p.m.) he plays the dance teacher Jochen Thabazi, the hotel director Hanna Liebhold (Barbara Wussow, 63) and Birgit Schneider (Fanny Stavjanik, 58) at a salsa evening invites…

Other forays into acting conceivable?

It’s not the first foray into acting for the dance athlete, adjudicator and television presenter. “I’ve already played myself for the RTL daily ‘Everything that counts’. I really enjoyed it, even though it was tiring to pack everything into one day. But I’d love to do it again,” is his enthusiastic conclusion.

As the Duisburg native also tells the news agency spot on news, he was able to cope with his scenes without a coach. “I didn’t have a coach, I’m pretty good at learning by heart – and as a dancer you can also act a little,” says Llambi. And yet there are clear differences between filming a film and filming a TV show. “When shooting a film, there can be a lot of repetitions for a scene. You have to pay attention to a lot of details. TV shows are a little more relaxed,” he says. If he has his way, we’ll still see him more often in films or series in the future – “I’d love to see more,” he says.

Joachim Llambi: “My highlight was the salsa band”

In the film, Llambi as Thabazi organizes a successful salsa evening. The strict judge from the popular RTL dance show also privately appreciates this dance. “It’s a great Caribbean dance,” he says, but also adds: “Standard and Latin dances are higher in my ranking.”

Nevertheless, his highlight during the “Dream Ship” filming was “the salsa band!” But everything else seems to have been pleasant. “It’s March on Curaçao [Dreharbeiten, Red.] of course great weather. I particularly liked the beautiful atmosphere and the great team,” praises Llambi.

Looking forward to the new year

When “The Dream Ship: Curaçao” airs on New Year’s Day, Joachim Llambi won’t be sitting alone in front of the television. “We will watch the film with the family on New Year’s Day,” reveals the father of the family. His wish for the year 2025 also goes out to his loved ones: “Peace for everyone and health for my family.” He also reveals that fans can look forward to “many dance shows, many talk shows, many game shows and the Football Champions League.”
