“Don’t take it too hard”: Celebrities and their New Year’s resolutions

Celebrities are only human – with little mistakes and good New Year’s resolutions. A few examples, from bestselling author Fitzek to pop whiz kid Loi.

Celebrities also know the great desire to do better in the new year. Bestselling author Sebastian Fitzek, for example: “My good resolution is actually always: more time with the family. Less time on your cell phone. More time for books”he told the German Press Agency.

“I probably won’t be able to do it so well again”admits Fitzek, although: Despite the very intense year, the family has actually been able to manage everything well recently. Just a few weeks ago Fitzek had his new winter thriller “The calendar girl” published. In it, a young woman is haunted by a psychopath in a secluded little house in Bavaria.

Celebrities’ New Year’s resolutions

Pop star Wincent Weiss says: “I’m also someone who makes a lot of plans for the new year and keeps relatively few of them.” Already this year he wanted to work a little less – “and I did exactly the opposite. I’ll do it again next year.”

Anyway: “I’m going on vacation on January 2nd and I’ve only booked one ticket, only one city”says Weiss. “There is no return flight, there are no plans.” Now he is excited “how long I can actually stand a vacation.”

“Get to know myself better”

The Mannheim pop newcomer Loi – often compared to Adele – also has big plans: “This might sound a bit stupid, but I think: to be happy”says the 22-year-old. And: “Getting to know myself even better” – the egg “definitely still room for improvement”.

Jürgen Drews reveals the Munich resident “Evening newspaper”that he has a lot planned for the new year. “Over the years I have composed an endless number of songs, stored them again and again somewhere. I haven’t had time to take care of it yet. I’ll catch up on that now! And who knows, maybe there will be one or two interesting titles that I want to produce”said the pop singer.

Cathy Hummels asks her fans on Instagram what their resolutions are, but she has some advice for everyone. “Remember: Don’t be too strict with your resolutions. You are exactly right the way you are. Small steps often lead to the biggest changes, so take your time and enjoy the journey”said Hummels.
