Zara and Mike Tindall rang in 2025 with a family trip to the horse races in Cheltenham – including the children.

One last family trip before heading to the other side of the world: Zara (43) and Mike Tindall (46) spent New Year’s Day 2025 at the horse races in Cheltenham with their three children. Mia (10), Lena (6) and Lucas (3) ensured special attention on the happy family outing.

Zara Tindall wore a dark blue pinstripe suit to the horse race and braved the wet, cold English weather with a burgundy turtleneck and maroon leather gloves. The former Olympian paired it with a dark red velvet headband and a navy blue leather handbag. Mike Tindall matched his wife’s color perfectly with a burgundy tie with a classic tweed suit and dark brown coat. The two arrived at the event hand in hand with their three-year-old son, dressed in a black puffer jacket and white sneakers.

Children have fun in the stands

The boy was having extra fun: Now without his coat and wearing a white shirt, Lucas was fooling around in the stands, swinging back and forth on a metal railing. In other photos, the three-year-old can be seen cheering – with clenched fists and a satisfied grin on his face. Apparently the little one is just as big a horse racing fan as his parents.

But the couple’s two daughters also seemed to enjoy the family trip to Cheltenham. Photos show ten-year-old Mia, dressed in a dark blue dress with white bows, cheering and putting her hands in the air. The youngest daughter, Lena, was dressed in a cream-colored wool dress and beamed down from the stands.

Trip to Australia is coming up

Just last week, the family spent the Christmas holidays with the rest of the Royal Family at Sandringham Castle, where they also attended the service together on Christmas Day (December 25th) and showed themselves to the waiting fans in front of the church.

In the coming days, Zara and Mike Tindall will be traveling to Australia for several days without their children. The couple is taking part in the ten-day Magic Millions Carnival, an event that includes polo and horse racing. Princess Anne’s daughter (74) has been the organization’s patron since 2012. Because school is starting again in Great Britain, children have to stay at home.
