The main routes to cross the borders with Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia will have a greater number of Migration agents.
The massiveness of vehicles visiting neighboring countries in the beginning of summer caused congestion of the border crossingslong lines of tourists and long waits to complete customs procedures. This is the framework that defined a reinforcement in the traveler service strategy for this season.
As notified by the National Migration Directoratean increase in personnel was ordered for care and inspection in airports, ports and land border crossingssimultaneously with the deployment of a greater number of immigration posts. It is estimated a total of 99 new workers, who will join a work team of 779 agents already arranged at the borders.
The intention seeks to improve the effectiveness of customs controls and guarantee the fluidity of passenger traffic at the main crossings with Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia. In that sense, the personnel will be assigned to the Corrientes towns of Paso de los Libres and Sao Tometo the missionaries of Posadas and Iguazú, to the Entre Ríos women of Gualeguaychú, Colón and Concordia and to the Mendoza area of Christ the Redeemer.

Controls at ports and airports
The new modality of reception and control of travelers is already in force in the Ezeiza and Aeroparque airports, with the intention of carrying out the respective immigration controls more quickly, aligned with international standards.
