Salaries: one by one, the sectors that will receive increases of up to 16% in January

Biochemical professionals, nutritionists and kinesiologists will have a basic salary this month of $1,076,160.64. The first category will charge a basic price of $978,570.98 while the basic price of the fifth category will be $782,620.01. The next review is in February 2025.

2. Construction

The Construction Workers Union (UOCRA) agreed that in December workers will receive a 4% increase considering the salaries in force as of November 30. In addition, they will collect a non-remunerative bonus of $25,000 that will be paid until January 2025.

3. Pharmacists

The Argentine Federation of Pharmacy Workers (FATFA) agreed to the following salaries and remuneration increases for December:

4. Banking

The Banking Association confirmed that workers will have a new increase, including Profit Sharing. In this way, this month they will receive a basic amount of more than $1,600,000. The adjustment will be 2.4% in line with the November inflation data.

5. Short and long distance workers

For the initial driver of the Automotive Passenger Transportation in the Metropolitan Area of ​​Buenos Aires, the following remuneration benefits were established, and it will be “proportional to the rest of the categories”.

  • As of December 1, 2024, they earn a basic $1,160,000, proportional to the time worked. Already in January 2025, they will receive a base salary of $1,200,000, proportional to the time worked.
  • On January 20 there will be a new joint meeting.

6. Train workers

The La Fraternidad Train Drivers Union agreed to an increase of 2.71%, completing the salary update corresponding to the last quarter of the year for private companies in the sector. In the meantime, they seek to close a basic food basket and then advance in the joint negotiations. There is an intermission period until next January 2.

7. Maritime (FESIMAF)

In December an increase of 2.5% about November basics.

8. National states

State workers will receive a 1% increase this month that is added to the fixed sum of $30,000 to be collected one time. An Attendance Stimulus Award of $30,906 is also contemplated for December salaries.

9. Domestic workers

Domestic employees will receive their January salary without increases, since the salary scale corresponding to the September-October period remains in force, without confirmed modifications. For now, there is also no information about a possible joint meeting that would allow an increase in the sector to be agreed upon.

10. Food

The Federation of Food Industry Workers achieved, for Collective Agreement 244/94, an increase of 2.9% in December salaries.

11. Tire workers

He Single Union of Argentine Tire Workers (SUTNA) negotiated a 2% increase for December and if inflation exceeds that number, it will be automatically compensated. The agreement includes FATE, Pirelli and Bridgestone.

12. Medical representatives

One of the unions with the best salary increases, it was established that the basic salary effective as of December 1, 2024 is $1,179,082, while the minimum guarantee will rise to $1,641,000. Meanwhile, in this new update agreement so that the basic salary “does not lose to inflation”, the parties established the resumption of negotiations next April.

13. Trade

  • Tourism: The FAECyS agreed to a 5% non-remunerative salary increase for travel and tourism employees, to be paid in the next two months. That 2.5% is divided into two tranches, 2.5% in December and another 2.5% in January.
  • General trade: increase of 2.5%. The parties agreed to meet in January 2025 to analyze possible “economic variations” and depending on the context, negotiate new increases.

Also, it was agreed to incorporate the non-remunerative sums to the basic agreement where the basic ones will also have an increase of 2.5% this month.

  • Call Center Branch: 2.5% increase. The agreed increases will maintain their non-remunerative status, and will then be incorporated into the basic agreement in their nominal value as “November Non-Remunerative Increase” with the assets corresponding to December, and “Non-Remunerative Increase for the month of December” with the salaries corresponding to January.
  • Cereal collection: increase of 2.5%. Increases to the basics of the sector will also be included.

14. Insurance employees

General insurance and ART workers will receive a 5% increase.

15. Mechanics

The Union of Mechanics and Related Automotive Transport Workers (SMATA) concluded a new joint negotiation and agreed to an increase in the 10.52% taking into account the payment of non-remunerative sums, effective from November and December 2024.

16. Gastronomic

The Union of Tourism, Hotel and Gastronomic Workers of the Argentine Republic (UTHGRA) obtained a 16% increase. Now it is their responsibility to collect 5% of December salaries.

17. Railways

The La Fraternidad Train Drivers Union agreed to a 16% salary increase for the last quarter of the year. The increase that remains pending for December salaries is 2.71%.

18. Plastic workers

The Union of Plastic Workers and Employees (UOYEP) has yet to collect:

  • 9.13% increase in January 2025, plus $99,540 (non-remunerative).
  • 8.66% in February, plus $50,766 (non-remunerative).
  • 8.24% in March.

19. Sports club workers

The Union of Workers of Sports and Civil Entities (UTEDYC) sealed consecutive increases based on August, and there will be a 5% increase in December.

20. Leather workers

Workers in the leather industry – which includes the Argentine Federation of Leather and Related Industry Workers (FATICA), the Union of Tanner Workers of the Argentine Republic (SOCRA) and the Union of Foremen and Managers of the Industry Employees del Cuero (SECEIC) – obtained a 16% non-cumulative increase for the period between September and December 2024.

There will be a non-remunerative sum of $216,000 to be paid in four equal and consecutive monthly installments. Likewise, there will be an addition to the reference salary of $27,000 from January 2025, and another for the same amount starting in April of next year.

21. Rural workers

The National Commission for Agrarian Labor (CNTA) made official the new salary scales for rural workers, with staggered validity between November 2024 and February 2025.

In turn, the Argentine Union of Rural Workers and Stevedores (UATRE) a 14.42% increase for permanent and continuous benefit personnel, which will become effective in four payments between November 2024 and February 2025.

23. Workers of sports and civil entities (UTEDYC)

  • CCT 738/16 – Gym Staff: they earn a 3% increase in January. All calculated on October 2024 bases. The increases will temporarily be non-remunerative.

25. Master employees

27. Miners

The Argentine Mining Workers Association (AOMA) agreed to an increase for those workers covered by Collective Labor Agreement 54/89. The increase will be 6% cumulative in nature valid until December 31.

28. Customs Brokers

The Association of Customs Clearance Employees (AEDA) will have a 5% increase in their December salaries. In this way, the basic amount will be $506,404.46 for an initial up to a maximum of $1,059,434 for an employee with 35 years of service. Lunch is $7,512.

29. Chemicals

The Federation of Chemical and Petrochemical Industries Workers Unions of the Argentine Republic (FESTIQyPRA) agreed to an increase that implies that the initial salary is $791,530.27 for category B, $922,924.36 for category A and $1,055,088. 98 for category A1. Meanwhile, for an employee with 35 years of seniority, the salary will be $1,178,480.71 (B), $1,374,108.61 (A) and $1,570,883.71 (A1).

30. Truckers

The National Federation of Truck Workersheaded by Hugo Moyano, agreed with the business chambers to pay a bonus of $600,000. In the month of January, $150,000 will be paid, which corresponds to the first installment that will be paid until April.

In line with the bonus $600,000the joint agreement includes progressive increases in December salaries of Collective Labor Agreement No. 40/89.

31. Television

The Argentine Television Union (SATSAID) and the Argentine ICT, Video & Connectivity Association (ATVC) agreed to an increase in the 2.5% in December which is paid in January. The fee will be paid as a non-remunerative allowance.

32. Parkers

The workers affiliated with the Service Station Employees Union (SOESGyPE) agreed to an increase in basic 2% for December salaries to be collected in January. On February 17 they meet again to agree on the next joint tranche.

33. Telecommunications

The members of FOETRAthey will have a single payment in the month of December. This is a bonus that will be $124,923 for category 1 of landline telephony that will increase according to the scale. The highest amount will be charged by the Z4 scale and will be $319,485.

In the case of mobile telephony, category A will charge an additional $130,480 in December, and will increase to $332,064 in category T10. In this case, the lowest category will have a basic price of $946,577 while the highest is $2,408,507.

34. Buenos Aires State

The Single Union of State Workers of the City of Buenos Aires (SUTECBA) closed an agreement in December that contemplates an increase in 3% on December salaries, to be paid in January.

35. Tankers

The private oil and gas union of Río Negro, Neuquén and La Pampa agreed to a non-remunerative bonus of 6% calculated on April salaries, not cumulative. It is incorporated in January as a remuneration amount.

36. UTA Transportation Workers

The Automotive Tram Union (UTA), Together with the transportation businessmen, they resolved a basic amount of $1,160,000 in December and in January, $1,200,000. In turn, an increase in travel expenses was agreed to, which was as follows: $6,640 in December and $6,870 in January. The parties will meet again on January 20, 2025.
