According to a survey carried out during the November-December 2024 two-month period by the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC), during the last two months of 2024 a total of 156 premises on sale, rent or closed in the surveyed areas. On the other hand, with respect to the previous measurement corresponding to September-October 2024, a similar drop in the 0.6%when the empty premises detected had been 157.

When analyzing exclusively the premises for rent and sale (that is, those offered) it is observed that in rent there was an increase of 13.5% compared to the previous period (September-October 2024), and with respect to November-December 2024. 2023, the same increase of 13.5% was observed.
Commerce in the City: the number of empty premises for rent and sale decreased
Regarding premises for sale, meanwhile, there was a growth of 80% compared to the previous two months and an increase of 20% compared to November-December 2023.
According to the Chamber’s measurement, which included the main commercial arteries of Buenos Aires, bimonthly progress was recorded in Cabildo (4800-5500), Santa Fe (700-5300) avenues; Pueyrredón (0-1200); and on the pedestrian Florida. For its part, on Córdoba avenues (4000-5300); Avellaneda (2800-3800) and Corrientes (200-6800) showed bimonthly declines. Finally, no change was recorded on Av. Rivadavia (2000-2800; 4900-5400; 6300-7400; 11000-11600).

La Plata, fewer inactive stores
Based on the data analyzed by the CAC From a survey carried out by the Federation of Wholesalers and Suppliers of the State of the Province of Buenos Aires (FEMAPE), it was determined that, during November-December 2024, compared to the same survey, but in 2023, a decrease of 80 % in the number of premises inactive – for sale, rent, closed or simply closed – in the main commercial areas of La Plata. Likewise, compared to the previous two-month period, September-October 2024, there was a decrease of 16.7%.
During the last two months of 2024, a total of 5 premises no commercial activity in the surveyed areas.
