Laura Maria Rypa: That’s why she was afraid to be honest

At the turn of the year, Laura Maria Rypa (29) published an honest statement about how being a mother of two sometimes presents challenges for her. The fiancée of “DSDS” star Pietro Lombardi (32) posted an emotional comment on her Instagram channel. She announces that she was afraid to share her thoughts for a long time. “I was afraid of being judged for what I feel, for my weaknesses.”

The video, which shows scenes from her everyday life as an influencer and mother, is accompanied by a voice-over. “I want to be honest with you: As much as I love being a mom, there are also these other moments. Moments when I ask myself, where am I? The woman I was before the children,” says Rypa. Being a mother is “the greatest love, but also the greatest challenge”. Doubts are okay, no one is alone with these feelings.

She wishes for all mothers in 2025 “that we give each other more love and understanding, that we don’t feel bad when we sometimes think about ourselves, that we are proud of what we do every day and that we recognize that “We are just as important as the people we love so much.”

She also writes in a comment: “Your children don’t love you because you are perfect. They love you because you are there with your love, your dedication and your strength. Let’s be honest about the ups and downs. We all struggle , and that makes us so incredibly strong.”

Apart from a short break, Laura Maria Rypa has been in a relationship with Pietro Lombardi since 2020. The couple got engaged at the end of October 2022. Their son Leano (1) was born in January 2023, followed by son Amelio in August 2024. Lombardi also brought his son Alessio (9) from his marriage to Sarah Engels (32) into the relationship.
