The Secretary of Labor -dependent on Ministry of Human Capital– approved this Friday the agreement equal reached between union and business representatives of the truckers during yesterday’s day. It consists of an increase in 2.2% with December salaries, 1.8% with January salaries and 1.5% with February salaries. The union’s claim was 5% in each of those months. Through a statement, the organization led by Sandra Pettovello explained that it approved the understanding: “This agreement contemplates a salary increase of 5.5% for the December-February quarterwith adjustments that seek to guarantee the purchasing power of workers. Finally, they considered that the measure “responds to the request made by both parties, presented by the Argentine Federation of Transport and Logistics Entities (FAETYL), the Argentine Federation of Freight Motor Transport Business Entities (FADEEAC), the Argentine Confederation of Automotive Freight Transport (CATAC) – on the employer side – and the National Federation of Truck Drivers and Workers of Automotive Freight Transport, Logistics and Services – on the union side – within compliance with current regulations”.
