Prince William has expressed “shock and sadness” at the death of Edward Pettifer, the stepson of his former nanny.

Prince William (42) and his wife Princess Kate (42) have published the death of Edward Pettifer. The Brit, who came from the London district of Chelsea, was among those killed in the attack in New Orleans, Louisiana. At least 14 people died in the attack on New Year’s Eve. “The Daily Telegraph” reported that Pettifer’s stepmother Alexandra Pettifer, also known as Tiggy Legge-Bourke (59), was the nanny of Prince William (42) and Prince Harry (40) between 1993 and 1999.

“Catherine and I are shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Ed Pettifer,” the royals said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pettifer family and all the innocent people tragically affected by this horrific attack.”
