George, Charlotte and Louis are supposed to attend Marlborough College like their mother Kate. George’s house has already been decided.

An important educational decision has apparently been made for the three children of Princess Kate (42) and Prince William (42). , Prince George (11), Princess Charlotte (9) and Prince Louis (6) are supposed to attend the renowned Marlborough College – the school from which their mother once graduated.

The traditional boarding school in Wiltshire costs around 59,000 pounds (around 69,000 euros) per child per year. According to insiders, the plans for the eldest Wales offspring’s change of school are already so concrete that it has even been decided in which of the houses Prince George will be accommodated.

Safety is the top priority

A well-informed source told the paper that the so-called C1 House – one of six all-boys houses at the school – was planned for the future heir to the throne. For security reasons, the choice fell on this building, which is located in the heart of the campus. Security was “of course a massive factor” in the decision, the insider is quoted as saying.

The selected house also has a royal history: it was once home to the Seymour family before they moved to nearby Wolf Hall. Jane Seymour was the third wife of King Henry VIII (1491-1547). The school’s famous graduates include poets Siegfried Sassoon (1886-1967) and John Betjeman (1906-1984), and more recently comedian Jack Whitehall (35) and Princess Eugenie (34).

The 286 hectare school site houses a total of 16 residential buildings – six for boys, six for girls and four mixed houses. Some are located directly on campus, others in the nearby market town of Marlborough. According to the insider, the more distant accommodations called “Out Houses” were not an option for George because the longer walking distances would pose too great a security risk.
