Jocelyn Wildenstein, who became known as the “Cat Lady,” died in Paris on New Year’s Eve. But she will find her final resting place somewhere else.

After the sudden death of “Cat Lady” Jocelyn Wildenstein (1940-2024) on December 31st, details about her funeral have now been determined. After the cremation and a small funeral service in Paris, she will be laid to rest on her ranch in Kenya.

Burial next to her parents

The Swiss woman, who was known for her obvious passion for plastic surgery and was nicknamed “Catwoman” because of her feline features, died shortly before a New Year’s Eve celebration, her long-time partner Lloyd Klein (57) told the US magazine People reported. On January 6, the fashion designer told TMZ that her ashes will be sent to Africa. Wildenstein’s final resting place in Kenya will be next to her family, as her parents’ remains are also on the same ranch. Before that, the deceased will be remembered at a “small and private” funeral service in Paris.

“Still in shock”

Lloyd Klein, who had been with the late socialite since 2003, told the celebrity portal that he was “still in shock” over her death due to a pulmonary embolism. According to Klein, his partner died in her sleep. The couple had been together since 2003 and engaged since 2017.

Wildenstein gained a lot of attention in the 1990s following her divorce from art dealer Alec Wildenstein (1940-2008). As “People” reported, she is said to have received $2.5 billion. Later, her changed facial features made many headlines. However, she denied having undergone any procedures until the very end.
