There has been another arrest in the case of former One Direction singer Liam Payne (1993-2024), who died in October. The suspect who turned himself in is said to be a 21-year-old hotel employee, according to the .
Suspect allegedly gave Liam Payne cocaine
The man is accused of supplying Payne with cocaine twice in October, according to sources with access to the files. This violation of the Narcotics Act could therefore be punished with a prison sentence of between four and 15 years. Just a few days ago it was reported that another man was arrested and is said to have also supplied Payne with cocaine. It is therefore a 24-year-old waiter.
Charges had previously been brought against the two men and three other people. These are the operator of the hotel, a receptionist and a friend of the late singer, who are accused of negligent homicide. According to reports, a conviction could result in prison sentences of one to five years.
Liam Payne became known through the British boy band One Direction. The singer died on October 16, 2024 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the age of just 31. An autopsy revealed alcohol, cocaine and an antidepressant. In November Payne was buried in Amersham, near London.
