Duchess Meghan: “He was there for everything”
Guy, who was rescued from an animal shelter in Kentucky, has accompanied the former actress through all the ups and downs since 2015. “He was by my side on Suits, at my engagement, at the wedding and when I became a mother,” Meghan remembers. “He was there through everything – in calm and chaotic times, he gave me support and comfort.”
In the video, the Duchess also provides private insights into family life with Harry and their children Archie (5) and Lilibet (3). You can see, among other things, shots of Archie going for a walk with his father and Guy and Lilibet playing with her mother and the dogs in the garden. At the end of the video you can even hear the children’s voices singing a song with their mother about their love for Guy.
Difficult time for the four-legged friend
As Meghan revealed in her post, Guy had a serious accident before the family moved to the UK and had to undergo several surgeries. She thanked the vets for their help during this time. Guy will appear again in the new Netflix series “With Love, Meghan.” “I hope you’ll understand why his loss affects me so much. I think you’ll fall in love with him a little too,” the Duchess wrote to her followers.
The 43-year-old concluded her emotional post with a personal thank you to her late four-legged friend: “Thank you for so many years of unconditional love, my sweet guy. You have enriched my life in ways you cannot imagine.” She also called on her followers to adopt pets from the animal shelter instead of buying them.
