“Bergdoktor” star Annika Ernst: That’s why she’s in “Playboy”

Annika Ernst (42) graces . The actress, who has been playing surgeon Dr. Dr. in the ZDF series “Der Bergdoktor” since 2021. Johanna Rüdiger embodies her sensual side in the next issue – and with it a clear message. “I would like women to be proud of themselves more often,” she explains in an interview.

“It was so special because as a woman I was able to let myself be celebrated during these two days of shooting,” says Ernst. She has the feeling that society is so modest “that you can’t be proud of yourself. Especially if you’re a woman.”

The actress criticizes the fact that many women sell themselves short: “We make ourselves smaller than we are. Or, even worse, we don’t say anything and hope that someone notices us.” Women often put their success into perspective by attributing it to luck – be it professional success or compliments on their appearance.

She only learned late to be proud of herself. “I only really learned to be proud of myself when I became a mother,” reveals Ernst. Her daughter was also the reason why she started playing sports. “I used to be totally unathletic. But I wanted to show her that you can do anything if you put in the effort.”

Ernst is calm about the reactions to her “Playboy” photos. “People who are close to me will celebrate it,” the Schleswig native is certain. Her husband, the Austrian marketing expert Robert Wagner, and their 17-year-old daughter Luna also support her decision. “During the shoot I was able to be exactly who I am,” emphasizes the actress.

“I would describe myself more as a casual and cool type of woman. Now, for the first time, it was about discovering my erotic and sensual side during a photo shoot,” Ernst continues. This new experience left a lasting impression on her: “I felt like I was walking on clouds for days after the shoot.”
