Denmark’s royal twins celebrate their birthday – palace shows new photos
It’s Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine of Denmark’s birthday. And this year the palace is also congratulating them with new photos of the two of them.
Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine of Denmark celebrate their 14th birthday today, January 8th. To mark this happy occasion, the royal family published three new photos of the children of King Frederik X, 56, and Queen Mary, 52, on Instagram, among others.
The first photo shows the royal twins in front of a staircase with a golden railing. Both smile into the camera. Josephine wears a sparkling dark V-neck dress. Plus two gold necklaces. Her long light brown hair is styled in a loose middle part, and her make-up is subtle with mascara and rouge. Vincent is dressed in a dark suit with a white shirt and black bow tie.

In addition to the joint photo, the Danish palace also published two individual portraits from the shoot. Josephine posed in front of a wooden table with books and a vase with a large bouquet of flowers with flower branches and silver balls. Vincent was photographed leaning on a bureau with one hand.

The text accompanying the publication reveals when the photos were taken. “Their Royal Highnesses Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine are celebrating their 14th birthdays today. New photos of the Prince and Princess are being released to mark their birthdays. The birthday photos were taken on New Year’s Eve – shortly after the birthday children’s father gave his first New Year’s speech.”
Within a very short time, the two young royals collected almost 60,000 likes. However, the leader (at least since August) in terms of likes is a family photo that was published two weeks ago as a Christmas greeting. 163,000 followers clicked at the sight of Frederik, Mary, Josephine, Vincent alongside heir to the throne Prince Christian, 19, the second-born Princess Isabelle, 17, and Queen Margrethe II, 84.
Frederik officially succeeded his mother to the throne on January 14, 2024. Meanwhile, the clip of the new Danish king entering the balcony to greet the cheering crowd racked up more than half a million likes.
