Harald Glööckler mourns the loss of his little dog Billy. Twelve years ago he wrote a book from the four-legged friend’s perspective.

Emotional start to the new year: Harald Glööckler (59) mourns the loss of his long-time companion Billy. The dog died, as the fashion designer announced to his 571,000 followers on Instagram on Wednesday (January 8).

First, then one. The photo in which the dog licks his owner’s nose is accompanied by the song “Never goes completely like that”.

The photo says “RIP my friend Billy.” In the comments, Glööckler had written “RIP my dear Billy” and “Have a good trip”, in which the dog is perched on a pillow while his owner poses in the background with a white fur coat and gold pants. Here the entrepreneur posted “RIP Billy, my friend.”

How Billy died is unknown.

Fans try to console Harald Glööckler

The Baden-Württemberg native and Berliner by choice receives consolation from his followers.

“I’m so incredibly sorry, Mr. Glööckler!” posted one user. Another commented: “RIP to a little friend who only got love and joy. Stay strong.” “My condolences for your loss” can be read in many different languages.

“I always followed all the videos with you, dear Harald and Billy… Your love and care for Billy… that was out of this world. I also have a little dog… you were such a role model and too Now I can relate so well… tears are flowing,” another follower wrote.

In 2013, the fashion designer published a book called “Billy King – my life with Harald Glööckler”, in which he let the little dog tell the story. Accordingly, he was born on May 4, 2010 and is therefore almost 15 years old.
