Travis Kelce: Fall is out of the question for weddings

Travis Kelce (35) and his brother Jason Kelce (37) thought out loud about the best time for a wedding on his podcast “New Heights”.

The boyfriend of superstar Taylor Swift (35) completely rules out autumn as an option. He doesn’t know anyone who got married in the fall, “because all the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends have always gotten married in the summer.” The reason for this is probably Kelce’s profession: The professional athlete plays for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League. The football season traditionally starts at the beginning of September.

The question came up after a caller asked the two brothers what they would think about a fall wedding in the middle of football season. “I’ve seen weddings in friggin February. I’ve seen weddings every season except fall,” Travis Kelce clarified. He also pointed out that the problem would arise every year on the wedding anniversary and that it would therefore be in the interest of the caller’s girlfriend not to schedule the wedding in the fall.

However, his brother, himself a former professional athlete in the NFL and already married, contradicted this: “There are things that are more important than football and if the wedding is not more important than football, then we have a bigger problem here.”

Rumors continue to circulate about a possible wedding between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, who have been officially together for over a year now. Ex-NFL star Adam Jones (41) recently said on his show that he thinks the couple could get married this year, “maybe after the season.” If this turns out to be true, the wedding will most likely take place this summer – by autumn it would obviously be too late.
