New film based on story by George RR Martin
The fantasy author George RR Martin became world famous with the TV series “Game of Thrones”. Now another work of his has been filmed – for the cinema. “In the Lost Lands” can be seen from March 6th.
The American George RR Martin created the novel for the cult series “Game of Thrones” with a multi-volume fantasy saga. Now a fantasy adventure written by the best-selling author is coming to the cinema, directed by “Resident Evil” director Paul WS Anderson. “In the Lost Lands” is based on a short story by Martin and is scheduled to open on March 6th, as the film distributor Constantin Film announced.
Milla Jovovich (“Resident Evil”) plays the witch Gray Alys. She is supposed to help a queen transform into a werewolf. But to do that she has to go to the Lost Lands. A dangerous task in which the magician asks the mysterious hunter Boyce (Dave Bautista – “Dune 2”) for help. Other roles include Arly Jover (“Axolotl Overkill”), Amara Okereke (“Red Rose”) and Fraser James (“Terminator”).
The trailer shows a dark world in which, after a great war, there is not much left of the life that once existed. The skeletons of destroyed houses and factories rise darkly into the brownish sky. Dangerous monsters and other scary creatures lurk in between.
“In the Lost Lands” takes the audience into a dystopian world characterized by intrigue, power games and the fight for survival, says Constantin, describing the action-packed fantasy adventure. A mixture that author George RR Martin approves of. “It’s dark, full of twists and turns and atmospheric and a lot of fun,” shared the 76-year-old.
