Patricia Bullrich pointed out against the Mapuches who occupy lands: “He who usurps loses rights”

Given this, the president of National Parks reported on his social network X: “We have just recovered the El Maitenal section of the Los Alerces National Park that Cruz Cárdenas and his self-proclaimed Mapuche entourage have been usurping since 2020.

For his part, Bullrich referred to the rights of the Argentine native communities over the lands. In this sense, despite the fact that the National Constitution contemplates the possibility of access to these territories, the minister stated: “He who usurps loses rights“.

On the other hand, he added: “It is one thing to negotiate a principle that is in our National Constitution, and another is this situation in which they advanced with violence, usurping, burning, closing roads, charging tolls.”

Furthermore, Bullrich maintained that these types of situations are not exclusive to the south of the country, but “There are also cases in the north“and confirmed that he will talk to the judges who understand the “open causes to evict land” to carry out the corresponding evictions.

He recalled that this type of occupation has been fought “since 2016” and added: “When we had the RAM (Mapuche Ancestral Resistance) that was dismantled, but there were communities that instead of seeking agreements usurp, charge tolls, close roads and even settle in dangerous areas.” He added that the Executive Branch is making progress in conversations “with all the judges who have evictions to carry them out and recover stolen lands” and that any negotiations over land will be carried out through the National Institute of Indigenous Affairs.
