Jamie Lee Curtis’ home is in the fire-affected Pacific Palisades district. Now she announced help for those affected.
Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis wants to support those affected by the devastating fires in Los Angeles. “My husband and I and our children have pledged $1 million from our family foundation to start a fund to support our great city and state and the great people who live and love it,” the 66-year-old actress shared Instagram with.
The actress previously mourned her Pacific Palisades neighborhood on Instagram. “Our beloved neighborhood is gone,” she wrote on a video of a car ride through burned-out streets, past smoldering ruined houses and charred palm trees.
Her own house was spared, but so many other people lost everything. The hard-hit Pacific Palisades is a wealthy district in western Los Angeles with around 25,000 residents. Stars like Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hanks and Reese Witherspoon have homes there.
