Singer Sandy Mölling (43) also has to pack her things: After the former No Angels star had already considered himself and his house in Los Angeles safe from the devastating forest fires, the fires are now getting closer to the neighborhood. The singer, who lives in Southern California with her husband and two children, has been sharing updates on Instagram since the fires began. Now the 43-year-old is worried about her existence.

“The fire is getting closer to us too. Another fire has broken out,” . “Now it started in Bell Canyon. That’s less than 15 kilometers from us.” She hopes “that it doesn’t spread and doesn’t come in our direction, but stays in the mountains.” Nevertheless, her husband is already packing up in case of an emergency. So if the family has to flee, everything is prepared. There had already been evacuation instructions for their area, but they were subsequently withdrawn, said Mölling.

She is particularly concerned that her property is not insured against fire damage. “The insurance companies here no longer insure you,” she explains. “Our house isn’t insured, so if it burns down, that’s it.” The insurance company cited the four old trees in the family’s garden as the reason. “Then we all at least trimmed the trees and then they said that the trampoline, which is embedded in the ground, had to be taken out, otherwise they wouldn’t insure us. So, they come up with really outrageous reasons why they won’t insure you. This is an absolutely criminal activity here,” said the 43-year-old.

On January 7th, several forest fires broke out in the Los Angeles region, which spread quickly and widely at the same time as several small fires due to strong winds. The areas of Malibu and Pacific Palisades as well as Pasadena and Altadena were particularly affected. As a result of the fires, more than 100,000 people had to evacuate their homes in southern California. Numerous houses burned down completely, including those of many celebrities.

Sandy Mölling has been together with Nasri Atweh (44), a Canadian music producer and singer of the band Magic, since 2009 and has been married since 2020. The two have a son born in 2015, and Mölling has another son from a previous relationship.
