The California fires also forced Jennie Garth to leave her home. Her ex-husband took her in temporarily.
The situation in and around Los Angeles is devastating due to the fires raging in the region. Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated in the past few days, many have lost their apartments or houses. The actress Jennie Garth (52) also had to leave her home.
Jennie Garth: “It’s just unimaginable”
In an emotional video, Garth says that she and her family have temporarily stayed with her ex-husband, Peter Facinelli (51). Garth and Facinelli met while filming and married in 2001. The couple announced their separation around eleven years later and divorced in 2013. Garth, who is married to her colleague Dave Abrams (43), has three daughters with Facinelli.
Jennie Garth, known, among other things, from the cult series “Beverly Hills, 90210”, says in the video that Facinelli recorded them all and how grateful she is for it. Her family and dogs are safe and she can feel “blessed and lucky” that “our house made it through the night.” But she also feels deep sadness. “This is simply devastating for everyone,” says Garth, who also thanks all the helpers. “The fires are still burning. It’s just unimaginable.”
“I’m grateful that we’re all doing well”
In the attached comment, the actress reassured: “I wanted to let you know that we are safe.” Her home has been spared so far, but there is a lot of cleaning to do and she wants to help friends, neighbors and others. “I’m grateful that we’re all safe and have a home to return to.”
Thousands of people have lost their homes since the still-raging wildfires began in the Los Angeles area. More than 10,000 buildings have reportedly been destroyed in California so far. Many celebrities are also affected, including Paris Hilton (43), “This is us” star Milo Ventimiglia (47) and Billy Crystal (76). According to official information, at least ten people have died in the fires in the past few days.
