Jennifer Garner mourns the loss of a friend: “She didn’t get out in time”
There were several deaths in the fires in Los Angeles. Actress Jennifer Garner lost a friend and can hardly talk about it. She is visibly struggling to keep her composure.
According to official information, eleven people died in the devastating fire disaster in the Los Angeles region. Actress Jennifer Garner is also mourning the loss of a friend, as she now told a reporter.
The 52-year-old speaks in an almost twelve-minute interview with a reporter from MSNBC. In it, Garner, together with star chef José Andrés, describes the situation in the destroyed districts of the Californian metropolis and talks about the neighborhood help that was quickly started there.
Star chef Andrés organized a series of food trucks that provide food to residents, helpers and people in emergency shelters, as he explains in the interview. A lot of things in her neighborhood were destroyed, reports Garner. This also includes their church. “It’s my family’s church,” she says. “My children went to Sunday school there.” It was a very important place for her and the entire neighborhood. Now everything is destroyed.
At this point Garner has to pause for a moment. She can’t hold back her tears after all.
