According to the police report issued by the Córdoba authorities, a Damage to a pipe in poor condition caused the spill of 5,000 liters of hydrochloric acid at the facilities of the distribution company of the iconic American brand, located at kilometer 327 of National Route 19.

The company published a letter after the events, where it detailed: “Andina Argentina reports that on January 10, 2025, at approximately 11 p.m., produced a hydrochloric acid leak in a service area outside the production plant located on National Route 19 km 3.7“.
“We are analyzing the situation to determine the origin of the loss. The evacuation of the production plant was not necessary, and only as a contingent measure was the affected area isolated.following the Company’s safety procedures, so that the internal brigade members, trained to carry out emergency approaches, and fire personnel could carry out the necessary tasks to control the situation,” they added.
Under this framework, they referred to the situation of the security guard, who they assured that “It resulted in slight discomfort in his airways, with itching in his throat and nose”and that “he was treated by the medical service and is already at home in good health.”
