Emotional message from Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus shared an emotional message for the victims of the fires. She knows what it feels like to lose everything.

Miley Cyrus (32) sent an emotional message to the people of California affected by the fires. The singer also remembered her own house, which burned down a few years ago.

“This is a photo of my porch from 2018 after we lost our home to the Woolsey Fire,” alongside a photo of their destroyed home in Malibu. “It’s a feeling you never forget. Walking up to the door you walk through every day, looking forward to being greeted by those you love like you always do, but instead you’re greeted by a pile of ashes and rubble.”

“My soul hurts”

Miley Cyrus added in the post: “My soul aches for those who are experiencing this devastation first hand, and I weep for my city.” It was “more than heartbreaking,” the 32-year-old continued. “Los Angeles represents ‘living the dream,’ but the reality today is rubble and destruction.” She also shared links to organizations she personally supports. She concluded the emotional text by saying, “Time, resources and dedication from within and outside our community will heal us, but it hurts deeply now.”

The singer shared the million-dollar villa, which burned down in 2018, with her now ex-husband Liam Hemsworth (34). The couple, who were married from 2018 to 2020, were uninjured. The two stars were able to stay in another property.

Many celebrities are getting involved

Like Miley Cyrus, many other celebrities have also donated to first responders and those affected in California during the current disaster. Reality star Kim Kardashian (44), actress Jamie Lee Curtis (66) and TV star Paris Hilton (43), among others, are helping with donations in kind and money.
