Jessica Simpson: She separated from husband Eric

Jessica Simpson (44) and her husband Eric Johnson (45) have separated after ten years of marriage. The singer and actress confirmed this. “Erich and I have been separated for some time to deal with a painful situation in our marriage,” Simpson said of his relationship with the former NFL player.

“Our children come first and we focus on what is best for them,” she continued. “We are grateful for all the love and support that has been shown to us and we appreciate having our privacy now as we process this as a family.”

Rumors of an end to Simpson and Johnson’s marriage have been swirling for several months. In November 2024, Johnson was spotted without his wedding ring. That same month, Simpson announced her musical comeback.

“This comeback is personal in nature. It is an apology to myself for enduring everything I didn’t deserve,” the singer wrote. Back then, fans interpreted the post as a hint of a separation – and were obviously right.

Back in February, Simpson’s Valentine’s Day post sparked speculation because the singer appeared alone in the snaps. However, that same evening, the couple appeared at a dinner in Los Angeles. In April, the 44-year-old posted snapshots from her family vacation.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson have been dating since 2010 and married since 2014. The two have three children together: Maxwell “Maxi” Drew (12), Ace Knute (11) and Birdie Mae (5). Simpson was previously married to singer and actor Nick Lachey (51) from 2002 to 2006.
