Animal lover Paris Hilton took in a foster dog after the wildfires in Los Angeles.
In the face of the devastating fire disaster, the people of Los Angeles stick together as a community. Numerous celebrities are also donating financial resources and their time, including Paris Hilton (43), who lost her home in Malibu in the forest fires. The hotel heiress is primarily committed to animal protection. The animal lover has now announced that she has taken in a foster dog.
Paris Hilton introduces her foster dog Zuzu
“Yesterday I had the privilege of volunteering to support the inspiring work in my hometown of Los Angeles,” showing them working with various affected people and animals. “The day was such a powerful reminder that we all have the power to help those in need, or donate what you can.”
First she visited the charity Baby2Baby, where she and her team helped pack important supplies for babies and toddlers, says Hilton. She then paid a visit to the animal protection organization Pasadena Humane. “We were so moved by their life-saving work to help our animal community.”
She is particularly pleased to have taken in a foster dog named Zuzu. “Unfortunately, her family had to give her up after their home was destroyed in the forest fires,” said the 43-year-old. One photo shows Hilton with the dog wrapped in a blanket in her arms. “If you can, please consider giving animals in need a temporary or permanent home,” Hilton appeals to her followers.
Paris Hilton set up relief funds
Paris Hilton announced last week that she had been evacuated from her home with her husband, two children and their numerous pets. She then had to watch live on TV as her house burned to the ground. A day later she showed the ruins on Instagram. This is something “no one should experience,” she wrote.
On January 11, Hilton set up a relief fund to support people who lost everything in the fires. More than 12,000 buildings are said to have been destroyed or damaged in the forest fires, which started on January 7th and spread rapidly due to strong winds. The death toll has now risen to 24.
