Paris Hilton has a new resident: his name is Zuzu and he is a victim of the fires in Los Angeles. Hilton helped out at an animal shelter and took a protégé home with her.
Paris Hilton, herself a millionaire heiress to the Hilton hotel chain, is known for her glittering upper-class lifestyle. She has now proven that she can do things differently as an assistant in an animal shelter. The forest fire disaster in Los Angeles also has consequences for countless four-legged friends.
Animals have always been close to Paris Hilton’s heart. She herself already owned countless dogs, who even had a dog house in the garden to call their own. The dog villa is said to have cost a whopping $325,000.

Paris Hilton is very fond of animals
It was Hilton’s love of animals that made her put on a sweater and jeans and help out at the animal shelter during the Los Angeles fires. “Yesterday I had the privilege of volunteering to support the inspiring work in my hometown of Los Angeles,” she wrote in an Instagram post. The former It girl also made a video to help rehome a cat with a chip number to its owner.

In the Los Angeles blaze, many animals also died in the flames, lost their homes or were separated from their owners. Many have found temporary refuge in animal shelters or animal hospitals.
Hilton had the idea of using her social media reach to help place the animals with their actual owners or with interested foster homes. On it she cuddles closely with the cat in the cage. She rolls and basks, visibly enjoying the caresses of her celebrity carer. “The day was such a stark reminder that we all have the power to help sentient beings in need or to donate what we can,” Hilton wrote.

The 43-year-old also set a good example and took in a foster dog. The little one goes by the name Zuzu and was given to the animal shelter by his family because they lost their home in the forest fires. “If you can, please consider providing a temporary or permanent home to animals in need,” Hilton asks.
