A woman went through a divorce and transferred €830,000 to fraudsters because she thought she was writing to Brad Pitt.

Brad Pitt (61) has been happy at his partner Ines de Ramon’s side for some time now after his separation from Angelina Jolie (49). However, a woman from France believed for around a year and a half that she was dating the Hollywood star.

The now 53-year-old fell for a so-called love scam or romance scam. In this form of online fraud, victims are usually made to believe that they are in a relationship or even love in order to cheat them out of their money. The woman reported about it on the “Sept à huit” format on the TF1 channel.

Fraudsters therefore used fake social media and WhatsApp accounts to deceive the 53-year-old with, among other things, images created by artificial intelligence (AI). Everything started at the beginning of 2023. According to reports, the woman was initially skeptical, but then fell for the scam.

The fraudster or fraudsters always found ways to avoid telephone conversations. It has been claimed that Pitt currently does not have access to his accounts due to his divorce from Jolie. It was only when she saw reports about the star with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon that the woman became suspicious again. She finally filed a complaint last summer.
