The rapper and songwriter J-Hope is successful worldwide with the boy band BTS. Now the 30-year-old will give concerts in 15 cities as a solo artist.
South Korean singer J-Hope will go on his first world tour this spring. As his label Big Hit Entertainment announced, the singer will hold 15 concerts in Asia and North America. The tour will kick off at the end of February in the South Korean capital Seoul. Initially nothing was known about performances in Europe.
J-Hope, whose real name is Jeong Ho Seok, was born in 1994 in Gwangju, South Korea. He has been part of the Korean boy band BTS as a rapper, songwriter, producer and dancer for twelve years.
The music group is one of the most successful pop groups in the world. The seven South Koreans, who released their debut album in 2013, have broken several records in recent years. They achieved five number one singles in the USA within just ten months.
In 2022, the members of BTS took a temporary break from the band because they have to complete their mandatory military service. J-Hope, 30, was discharged from the military last October.
