For Robbie Williams, the promotional tour for “Better Man” went high: he danced with his Ayda on top of the Empire State Building.

Robbie Williams (50) started a real love offensive with his wife Ayda Field (45) on Tuesday, January 14th to promote his biographical film “Better Man”. The couple flirted in front of the press atop the Empire State Building in New York. The biopic urgently needs attention: The film had a weak start not only in the USA, where the singer is relatively unknown, but also in his European homeland.

They rely on eye-catching looks

For the lofty appearance, Williams wore a striking leopard-print fur coat, loose-fitting black trousers, striking silver sunglasses and a pair of black loafers. He laughed a lot and showed off his sparkling white teeth, which, as he recently revealed, he had had enhanced. His wife also protected herself from the cold with a long black fur coat, and she also wore red heart-shaped sunglasses and wide-leg jeans. The couple repeatedly looked into each other’s eyes, hugged and kissed with a view of New York. They looked “happier than ever”.

The couple may have some concerns. In the UK, “Better Man” has so far been a disappointment about William’s career. The film was released here at the end of December 2024 and achieved the equivalent of 1.9 million dollars in its first weekend. Not enough for a considerable budget of around 110 million US dollars. The biopic also had a weak start in Germany. On its first weekend after its debut on January 2nd, according to the industry service “Blickpunkt:Film”, just 67,594 viewers generated sales of 939,906 euros.

Ayda Field fears for her parents

In addition to the previous film flop, they are also suffering from the effects of the fires in Los Angeles. The premiere of “Better Man” there on January 9th had to be canceled due to the tragedy. Robbie Williams spoke out last week in a video in which he was sitting in some kind of hotel room. In it he said: “Hey guys, I’m sitting on 90210 in Los Angeles and I’m waking up to a lot of my friends’ houses disappearing. I’m just sending lots of love, energy and strength to the firefighters who are doing an incredible job right now. That’s all to you and all the love.”

Speaking on ITV’s Loose Women, Ayda Field explained that she had been evacuated along with ten others and that her parents may have lost all their possessions and their home. She added that her biggest concern is her mother Gwen, who is battling cervical cancer and needs to continue her chemotherapy. “It’s chaos here – it looks like some kind of war zone and everything is just so sad.”

The couple themselves sold their villa in the Holmby Hills in Los Angeles last year after just two years. With their four children they now live in London again.
